Day by day
Your safari itinerary
Times are indicative and will be confirmed against your arrival, pickup point, lodge availability and operating conditions.
Day 1
Mombasa or hotel pickup to Tsavo East
Depart from Mombasa airport or the agreed hotel and travel towards Tsavo East. Enter the park during the afternoon, begin a photographic game drive and continue to the selected camp or lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Tsavo East to Amboseli
After an early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive. Leave Tsavo East later in the morning and continue towards Amboseli, arriving for lunch. The remainder of the afternoon allows time to relax and prepare for the balloon programme.
Day 3
Amboseli balloon experience
Join the confirmed meeting and transfer arrangements for the balloon safari. The full programme, including collection, preparation, flight and return, may take approximately four to five hours, with the flight itself normally lasting about one hour. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a photographic game drive until sunset.
Day 4
Amboseli to Tsavo West
Wake early for breakfast and a short Amboseli game drive before leaving the reserve. Continue to Tsavo West, arriving around lunchtime. After check-in and relaxation, depart at approximately 4:00 pm for an afternoon game drive until sunset.
Day 5
Final Tsavo West game drive and return
Begin with an early breakfast and final game drive. Leave the park later in the morning and continue towards the agreed hotel or coastal drop-off point.
